The Honourable Woman is a new BBC spy-ish miniseries starring Maggie Gyllenhaal as an English Lady and captain of industry who is deciding whether to award a contract to an Israeli or Palestinian firm, and things kinda go awry and some shit starts happening. Also there are apparently secrets from the past and stuff. But that makes it sound fast paced and exciting, which it is not. Much more of a slow burn. It’s written by the same guy who did The Shadow Line, a similarly slow-burning cop drama miniseries which I thought was pretty ok.
Probably if this wasn’t a miniseries, I would be on the fence, but only 8 episodes and during the summer? It seems decent enough to watch the whole thing.
