Pointless Nonsense

Peep Show is a long-running British comedy available on Hulu and Netflix streaming (despite the inclusion of Hulu, it’s quite often fairly NSFW). I’d seen several “verticals” like like this which definitely made me want to check the show out. And having just torn through first season today, it’s not always as great as that one picture but it’s very good. It follows two roommates, one a talentless aspiring musician/slacker, and one a self-loathing neurotic who is a total failure with women (it’s not hard to imagine how I’d identify with him). The perspective of the show bounces back and forth between the two of them, with internal monologues and even POV shots (which are kinda weird). But a large amount of the comedy comes from awkward social situations, so the voiceovers work pretty well with the discomfort over the neurotic guy attempting to talk to a woman.
