Pointless Nonsense

Sunshine is a movie that I never knew existed, which is weird, since it’s a science fiction movie with some actors I know. Maybe I didn’t know Rose Byrne just yet (it came out the same year Damages started) or the Japanese guy from several episodes of Lost, but I sure knew Cillian Murphy from Batman Begins, Chris Evans from those lousy Fantastic Four movies that he was actually good in, and Michelle Yeoh from lots of stuff.

That probably should’ve been a red flag, and there were problems with the movie. It was a tad on the artsy side and the characters weren’t at all compelling. But it was quite cool looking and had a reasonably plausible concept and plot, and there were a few quality moments of suspense. Overall, an ok way to kill a couple hours if you dig sci fi.
