Pointless Nonsense

Humpday, watched by me purely because I wanted a break from Stargate and it was streaming, is an indie film that’s part of a subgenre called mumblecore (I don’t know why, there’s not much mumbling), starring one of the guys from The League.

The guy from The League is married and thinking about starting a family when an old friend who’s kind of a free spirit drops in unannounced and drags League guy out to a bohemian sort of party thing, at which a joke they make gets out of hand and leads them down a horrible and unavoidable path. I actually found two sequences in the movie to be incredibly funny, but I’m not sure I found them funny for the same reason as intended. I downright hated the serious parts, though. Guys with nice jobs and nice houses and nice wives and nice friends and think they have it so bad can go fuck themselves.

“Guys with nice jobs and nice houses and nice wives and nice friends and think they have it so bad can go fuck themselves.” <– this might be the wisest thing you ever said/wrote. I'm impressed!
